Established in 1977, Century Personnel has specialized in the recruitment of professionals in the fields of Manufacturing, Engineering and Technical, Accounting and Finance, and Healthcare.
Century was founded by L. Deane Shepard, CPC. Mr. Shepard is a Certified Personnel Consultant, was a Charter Member of the National CPC Society, served as Chairman of the National Board of Regents, and has served the National Association of Personnel Services as Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President. He is one of the founders of the Indiana Association of Personnel Services (now Indiana Search and Staffing Association). He is a past president of both the State and Central Indiana Personnel Associations.
In May of 1980, Carrie Shepard Davenport, CPC, began working with her father after graduating from college. After 25 years of employment with the company, Ms. Davenport purchased Century Personnel in January of 2005 and assumed the responsibilities of President.
At the same time, Ms. Davenport promoted Clay Stumpe from Manufacturing Department Manager to General Manager and Senior Partner of Century Personnel. Clay brings a wealth of knowledge with over 28 years of Recruiting, Sales and Sales Marketing experience. Clay joined Century Personnel in 1996 and continues to be a top producer, trainer, Senior Partner and General Manager.
In 2007, Ms. Davenport brought on Guy Hulen, SPHR, CPC, to become the Vice President of Sales for Century. Prior to coming to Century, Mr. Hulen worked for 20 years in sales, sales and marketing management, and Human Resources. His most recent assignment prior to Century Personnel was HSBC North America, Inc. (the world's largest banking and financial services company) where he spent 14 years working in Sales Management, Human Development and Human Resources. When he left HSBC he was the Director of Human Resources. He has received numerous awards and honors for his professional and philanthropic work.
